Denoise · What it does
Noise comes from high-ISO sensor error, long-exposure heat, or scan grain. This tool uses non-local-means denoise server-side: instead of blurring the whole image, it finds similar patches that corroborate each other, so edges survive while noise is averaged out. Higher strength is cleaner but flattens detail—default 10, capped at 30. Output follows the source: PNG if it has alpha, else JPG. Uploads deleted after processing.

FAQ
How is denoise different from blur?
Blur flattens everything including edges; denoise cross-checks similar patches to keep edges and texture.
What format is output?
PNG if the source has alpha, else JPG (quality 92)—lossless PNG would balloon after denoise.
What if noise is very heavy?
Process twice: strength 10 first, then add a bit—preserves more detail than one pass at 30.
